This is a work of Andreas Heikaus. He can pretty much explain himself. But work is really beautiful, and it really nostalgic. 

This video was part of my Bachelor thesis at the University of Applied science and art Hannover. The Super Mario Bros. game, released on the Nintendo Entertainment System, is not longer bound to the television size and get interactive with a new environment. The emphasis of my thesis is on the matchmoving work. It is the process of matching CG elements into live-action footage.

Fabian Nehne and Martin Meier, German and Swiss product designers revealed their latest design translation of the additive color mixing, an adequate luminance. If it can adjust the colors, this lamp can be perfect. You can start parties, by just illuminating your living room!

And it can also teach colors too! What about CMYK?

Renaissance - Reborn!

I have stumbled upon these renovations lately, apparently the designer Heather, after drawing those, renovated some old chairs which are now looks perfectly up to day!

To be honest, I love those, pretty 60s-70s and they are coming back, which I am glad of. There are lots of other fabric designs of Heather, you can find it here!

Please don't throw away your things, there is so much consumption going on. There are plenty of ways for refurbishing. Do it yourself, it can be tiring but more satisfactory.

De Montfort University, Industrial design student Kevin Scott's bendy bike. It is nice and I had a smile on my face, but is it the perfect design. It is much more effort to chain it to the poles. If it solves stealing problems, that is a good design!

Let's rock this bed!

This rocking bed was unveiled in several design contests after first designed by Michael Kloker and Manuel Kloker in 2005. In several home furnishing contest they won awards.It is basically a hybrid model of rocking chair and regular bed. The idea is synthetic, as a object for visuals it looks pretty elegant with its curvy out rims.

After seeing this design, my question was “is it really comfortable?”. I really die to try for this. My opinion, it would be great for outdoor, especially for summer and spring, for short naps while sun hasn’t set, and summer breeze is warm. So it would fit perfectly for boutique hotels, they might want several for their customers.

It is being sold at USA, and its price is around 6.500$, which isn’t that much expensive, but anyways…

Watching lots of science fiction movies, we were expecting a lazier life anyways. This comes from youtube, and the practically trying to place youtube in todays televisions. To use it more efficiently you need a big screen and a wireless mac mini. There is nothing on TVs anyways. It could be a good alternative.

Inspiration Pad: Taking notes is so boring?

Straight lines or blocks, it is surely become really boring. I saw this pad, which is really hilarious! There are no straight lines in this pad. I am not sure if it really gives you inspiration, but it will be cool. Especially circular ones my favorites!
